The Ramblers
Who We Are
Our Story

Welcome to the High Sierra Rambler - An adventure magazine by the people for the people!
The High Sierra Rambler is a student-led and run outdoor adventure and environment magazine sharing the stories of the Sierra and Nevada region.
The idea for this local adventure publication was hatched during an inspirational class at the Reynolds School of Journalism at UNR and the desire to see more of what makes this place world famous and delightfully strange celebrated in print by locals for locals and visitors alike.
So a group of student journalists – misfits, photographers, nature nerds, writers, dirtbags, and sunburnt, dirt-crusted outdoor adventurers (and a footloose and footless canadian goose named Stumpy) banded together to create this very special print and digital publication to highlight the stories of our region!
